Pecan Pie
Sherri Crawford Davis

Here is a recipe for one 9-inch pie.  It is the old fashioned kind that Mama used to make... no chocolate or liquor or anything "different" in it.

1 9-inch pie shell

4 eggs, beaten

1 cup light corn syrup

2/3 cup sugar

2 tablespoons melted butter or margarine

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup coarsely chopped pecans

Combine eggs, syrup, sugar, butter and vanilla; beat with electric mixer until well blended.  Stir in chopped pecans.  Pour into unbaked pastry shell.  Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes.  Cool before cutting.

Eat up!
